Locals dazzle nightlife

Perhaps the only massive and upscale nightclub of the Plateau, House Nightclub will be crowded on the weekends with gorgeous girls and more glamorous crowds than the rest Mont-Royal. DJ residents include Franco Fabi and Danny Torrence, both premier house DJs and Blast, Renegade and Donald Lauture for hip-hop. Two floors, two rooms—House sure knows how to party ala extravaganza.

No bouncer, but you may be stuck on the stairs elevating you to a steamy loft known as Salon Daome. Entrance can range from $4 to $10, but trust us when we say it’s for a good cause. A former dance school, Salon Daome welcomes everyone looking to dance to the best deep house, electro and African riddims. Drinks are cheap, smiles are frequent and yet to ever encounter an “off-nite” at Daome. Sneakers and caps welcome, as long as you can pop and lock with it.

The Academy Loft/Dancehall/Nightclub does not promote with the masses, for the founders of this nightclub will and do remain true to their beliefs. Through the Soultek Montreal, Academy hosts weekend nights with free entrance until 12:30 am and $5 for “Academy members” and $7 for everyone else. Electronica music is the key, with all forms of house music that originated in the ghettos. Bring your dancing shoes and enjoy drinks at a much cheaper price than the commercial venues.
