Just above Ste-Catherine Street on Crescent Street, Seven Nightclub (formerly known as Vatican Nightclub) remains a household name in the clubbing scene since it arrived six years ago. Now called Club Seven after closing up for a few weeks this past winter, the club is three-floors above street level and plays hip-hop and house on both Fridays and Saturdays. Famous for staff parties and eye-candy for the masses, make sure to dress well as caps and runners won’t get you past the door.

For a more mature crowd, rock down to Electric Avenue on the southeast corner of Crescent and De Maisonneuve. Yes, including Eddy Grant’s anthem, Electric Avenue’s DJs rip through the best tracks of the 80s, including the ones only you liked. Open Thursday through Saturday, you can host a private VIP party at this venue. It’s also a great club for a bunch of couples with their dancing shoes on.

Locals Denis Fortin and Benoit Gagnon have brought the 90s back for you! Located on the top floor of Pino’s Restaurant, Pinokkio recently opened as a great option for the older crowd, and all we mean by that is that you won’t question if all the girls are legally allowed in Pinokkio’s. So get ready for Mr. Vain and the Verve, as Tuesday is staff night and ladies night all night with an $8 cover charge. Thursday’s is the infamous “cinq a sept” happy hour and on the weekends ladies drink for free from 9 pm to 11 pm ($8 cover charge).

Be sure to find a packed Karina Nightclub during the summer, as the crowds flock from downstairs at Sir Winston Churchill Pub. Open from Wednesday to Sunday; be sure to look into Thursday nights with top-notch house music. The weekend has more of an elegant hip-hop feel, including Hip Hop Sundays.
